Re-plastering can improve the health of your family.
When choosing the plaster finish, it is not only a case of durability or cost; your family's health and well being should be a primary consideration. These days following significant research, a lot more is known about volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as formaldehyde, that are released into the air from a variety of sources, including cleaning products and new furnishings. In high concentrations they can cause headaches, lethargy, increased risk of allergic reactions and other health problems.
We recently re-plastered a Kitchen Diner for a client in New Romney. The old surfaces were not great and there was evidence of an old stud wall that had been removed. We used British Gypsum Thistle PureFinish which provides a smooth, high quality surface to internal walls and ceilings and most importantly decomposes formaldehyde emissions into non-harmful inert compounds. Our client was extremely pleased with the work as can be seen from his online review.
